My 12 year old had chicken pox this last week and I ended up getting shingles from it. It is like a bunch of chicken pox all bunched together right on top of each other. It fels like a Tattoo artist is just going over the same area over and over. I feel bad for the kids when they get the chicken pox now.

Shingles is much worse than the chicken pox. It afffects your nerves and everything. You must be in horrible pain. sorry::stare

According to the drs that have treated my wife for it yes you can get shingles after having chicken pox.  I am thinking of going to the Dr tomorrow but I am not sure if they can even do anything for it. It has spread from just above my hip to my upper leg. It is a constant pain like someone jabbing a needle in the same area over and over. I started feeling it at work real bad last night and it has been non stop. It looks just like Chicken pox just all bunched up.

my friend had shingles last year..the doc gave her some steroids and pain meds....shingles is extremely painful, since it affects the nerves.

I didn't realize how much I sleep on my right side. I can't even sleep and get comfortable. I think I will run into the dr this morning.
