Through combining pure brutality, an insane level of musicianship, and catchy yet searing riffs, BRAIN DRILL manages to accomplish creating a truly prolific and memorable brand of death metal with their Metal Blade Records debut Apocalyptic Feasting. BRAIN DRILL proves that death metal can be technical yet catchy, vicious yet cultured, intricate yet completely listenable. Upon pressing play, listeners will be blasted by drummer Lord Marco Pitruzzella?HuhHuh?s speed and dexterity, guitarist Dylan Ruskin and bassist Jeff Hughell?HuhHuh?s complexly scorching riffs and technique, and vocalists Steve Rathjen?HuhHuh?s combination of low growls and blistering screams.

Here?HuhHuh?s what Alex Webster of Cannibal Corpse, bassist for one of the all time top selling death metal bands, has to say about Brain Drill: "Brain Drill are one of the most musically over the top bands I have ever heard. They are truly raising the bar for technicality, velocity, and overall extremity in death metal.HuhHuh? And according to SickDrummer.com "The future of drumming is at hand! Marco's creativity, speed, control, and ability to listen and learn, are some of the characteristics I would use to describe his immense talent."

History:
Formed in the summer of 2005 by Dylan Ruskin after parting from his main band Burn at the Stake, BRAIN DRILL was originally meant to be a side project. Dylan began looking for drummers that could actually play death metal, and not just claim they could. Enter Marco Pitruzella former drummer of Vital Remains, Vile, Atrocious Hysteria, and a few other extreme metal bands. After meeting Marco it was easily recognized that he was without doubt in the top 10 fastest drummers in the world and was instantly brought into the band. After a few months of jamming Steve Rathjen was then later put onto vocals.

BRAIN DRILL entered Castle Ultimate Studios with producer Zack Ohren on March 1st 2006 to release their first 6 song demo. All 6 of the drum tracks were done the day before recording in one take by Marco Pitruzzella. There was no editing and none of the drum tracks were done over. Marco busted it all in a matter of less than 2 hours with no help from any computers or metronomes during the process! The next day the guitars and bass were added by Dylan. On May 9th vocalist Steve Rathjen entered Castle Ultimate Studios to lay down the vocal tracks. He had only 4 days to learn the songs and lyrics and laid them all down in fewer than 3 hours. In the winter of 2006 Jeff Hughell was then added to the band as the new and permanent bassist. With mind blowing style and speed inventing a 10 fingered tapping technique using a 7 string bass. With the song learning capabilities of a genius, it was quite obvious Jeff was a perfect fit to the now 4 piece arsenal.

To date BRAIN DRILL has shared the stage with bands such as: Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Necrophagist, Unmerciful, Job for a Cowboy, All Shall Perish, Decrepit Birth, and many other extreme metal bands. In addition BRAIN DRILL has come in at number 8 in the top 10 myspace grindcore band charts in the world and has also come in at number 11 in the top 20 myspace death metal charts in the world. With a following that grows by the thousands everyday, BRAIN DRILL is currently playing shows to gain further exposure and to meet new fans. NOW SIT BACK AND ENJOY THIS CIRCUS OF DEATH IN A REFLECTION OF THE DARKEST DEPTHS OF HUMANITY.
