*Make sure you have enough $ saved up for gas, food, lodging, and merchandise
*If you have a long drive or plan on getting drunk it is advisable that you should look at reserving a hotel room the night before/after the fest. No one wants to have their friends or family in traffic accidents due to sleepiness or intoxication. Be safe for yourself and others.
*You will want to makes plans to be off for work the day of the show and the day after the show. If you have a long drive you may want to be off work the day before the show and drive to the city of the show a day early.
Things To Bring To Ozzfest:
*Money for food and drinks. The prices are much higher than fast food restaraunts and most amphitheaters I have been to. The fest starts around 12:00 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m. in most cities. Also there are many different merch booths at Ozzfest. You can purchase shirts, beanies, CDs, DVDs, stickers, posters, etc. Bring $
*Earplugs
*A hat to block the sun
*Suntan Lotion
*Proper Attire (No long sleeve shirts, coats, blue jeans or long pants. Most venues do not allow chain wallets, chains, spikes or any other object which could vause injury to yourself or others. You may want to wear a t-shirt and hat so you do not get sunburned badly)
*Sheets for your vehicle interior. No one wants their ride covered in mud by friends who were rained on at Ozzfest all day.
*Water, if they allow it. In 2005 they allowed 1/2 gallons of water and food upon entry. Best bet is to contact the venue the week before the show to confirm if any special items are allowed or restricted
*Disposable Cameras, if they allow it
*Set List Times of when the bands play on both stages. This can be found at
www.OZZFEST.com under the tour dates section a few days before your show. Print it off so you can plan out your day.
Before The Concert:
*Get there early to avoid traffic delays that may cause you to miss good bands and keep you far away from the second stage area.
*Eat well before you go. It will be hot and the food prices are high.
*Be prepared to stand in line if you get to the show before it starts. Also be prepared to get patted down by security and possibly searched with a metal detector.
