you're lucky.  we grew up with the jive gimme five.  you can't just slap someone's hand - it had to include stupid stuff like;  low five, high five, right elbow, spin, stop, point, slide, wink, etc...  like Isaac the bartender from the Love Boat.  people think they are soooo cool and they end up looking like total idiots.
