Before I even clicked this topic I knew it was about A7X, haha. I like their music, but I think they are very oerrated.

I didn't like them untill their newest cd. Their older stuff was too whiny and too emo-scream-ish to me. Their new stuff I like a lot, even if it falls under the same problem as Trivium, in that Avenged Sevenfold try to hard to be Guns n' Roses.

I used to be obsessed with A7X like 2 years ago. I still love them but I've grown away from that obsession. Waking The Fallen was the best album IMO Sounding the Seventh Trumpet was too much screaming and City of Evil wasn't enough screaming. My love for them dropped a bit though when M. Shadows and Synester were in that music video with fucking Good Charlotte, that was just embarrassing. I hope their new album makes up for that and isn't just a disappointment. I'm still a big fan of them, but I mean they definitly aren't the greatest band ever, and I wouldn't consider them to be heavy metal either.
