The Alexi 600 is pretty pricey. I own the Alexi 200 and have no complaints about it.

Right here.....Probably the best starting metal guitar that you could buy....Plus it's good enough it'll last you a good long time. Since you wanna play metal it's got locking tremolo and a FR on it already so you can learn early how awesome(and what a pain in the ass) they can be!!

I HIGHLY!! recommend this one!

I got a 1970s Danelectro DC-3 for less than $200. I wanted to get a hollow body so I could play rhythm in my band, and it has amazing tone quality, especially for the price.
