Funny that most of the people who think it's 'ok' for Ozzfest to say 'Fuck You' to everyone else are from Texas. You people should go back to having sex with your siblings and leave the actual discussions to those of us without an inbred gene pool. We don't owe Ozzfest shit. Last year was free because THEY were trying to make up for the past few years being total garbage (i.e. the Iron Maiden incident). Last year we weren't even allowed to bring in that oh so valuable 1 bottle of water (at least when I was going in, I had to toss it) and when you get inside, $8/8 oz. beer $10/a damned pita filled with minimal stuff. Sure, concert prices will be inflated, but c'mon. Last year was more of a scalpers paradise than a free concert to people who actually give a damn about the music. For some of us, Ozzfest is better than Disneyworld. A lot of times it's a total pain in the ass to try to find a place to go with your friends where people won't look at you like you're some kind of social misfit just because your hair is blue, or your girlfriend is wearing less makeup than you are. Mall? Nope, the security guards must get a bonus every time they tell someone to take their dog collar off. Bar? Only if you like being harrassed by a bunch of drunk preppy assholes about your pants being neon green and covered in zippers. Ozzfest was that place, and this year it was taken away. Sure you have to still deal with the preppy jerks who go just for the lack of drug law enforcement, but at the end of the day Mr. Football Scholarship looks like a total asshole when he's the only one on the lawn NOT singing along with War Pigs because he doesn't know the words. So I say FUCK YOU OZZFEST (Not Ozzy, because he has absolutely no control over the situation), you've completely ruined the only fun summer activity for thousands of metal fans who actually give a damn about the music.
