About Me
Monster rock n’ roll outfit LORDI -- national treasures back home in their native Finland - wants everyone in the world, nay, the universe to know who they are. Bit by bit, LORDI is making this monsterican dream a reality. Since winning the 2006 Eurovision Award in May, LORDI’s dream has grown to gargantuan heights. Besides conquering numerous European charts the band has been given their own credit card though Finland’s Sampo Bank, as well as their own soft drink – Lordi Cola. LORDI anticipates their success in Europe will carry over to North America and become a monster hit when their album is released March 20, 2007 on The End Records. With an over-the-top, unstoppable live show that combines the theatrics of horror movies and a pyrotechnic-fuelled rock’n’roll, LORDI knows how to bowl over their fans. As bandleader Mr. Lordi explains, “Create the band that you would like to see on stage. Write the songs you’d love to sing along to. That’s pretty much all that we love to do.” With a gang of monsters at his side -- Amen the unstoppable mummy, Awa the vampire countess, Ox the hellbull and Kita the alien manbeast – LORDI unleashes ‘The Arockalypse,’ an anthemic, rock’n’roll journey. Indeed, monsters do have more fun. ‘The Arockalypse’ finds LORDI leaner and meaner than ever before. The band has sharpened their focus in order to bring their dream-cum-nightmare to life and nothing short of a total bombardment of the senses will do. The riffs are certainly not de-fleshed nor are the mighty choruses mummified. These songs are made to kick your ass and then some. Some longtime heroes and fellow travelers of the netherworld have contributed to the band’s ‘good to be bad’ cause. Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider acts as the party's MC, infiltrating the radio broadcast that opens the album (“SCG3 Special Report”) while Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French guests on “Chainsaw Buffet.” Former KISS axeman Bruce Kulick delivers a blinding solo on “It Snows in Hell” and Accept legend Udo Dirkschneider's distinctive voice can be heard on “They Only Come Out at Night.” LORDI is ready to bring the balls back to North America! Are you ready for the monster invasion?

Hello to all. I was at the pittsburg ozzfest to see two bands Lordi and of course OZZY. This marked the 19th time I have seen the OZZMAN perform live. He was Fucking awesome.Lordi was also great. Its about time a band brought back a genre of metal that has been long forgotten. Yes I am a slayer fan and cannibal corpse fan. These bands play from the heart, because they love the music they play and the fans that support them. All thease new so called metal bands are like leaches they latch on ozzy and sharons creation of ozzfest and just hang on for the ride. Granted a few bands have become big from this but what happens to the rest of the posers? I thank sharon and ozzy for taking the chance on LORDI. They are a band That can bring back what has been lost in music. Great sound and a Great stage show as well. After all a concert is not just for your ears, but your eyes as well. Honestly how many bands these days give you both. Most of them come out on stage and just play as loud as they can, thinking if they are loud they are good. Sound quality fade as they get louder and they all you here is mummbled together shit. Yes Slayer where pioneers in the music industry, and still are but they started 23 years ago. Music has changed alot for the worst since then. only afew new bands are able to bring that back to us long time music fans. Lordi is one of them. I dont care they are from Finland. As far as I am concerned they belong in our faithful klist of great bands that do what they do for the love of it. Yes they love the money but who would not? S for all those who dont like Lordi as well as the greats such as OZZY, slayer, and cannibal corpse, it is time to change your diapers and get on the right track of music. Or go back to what fits the younger generation of whiners, The backstreet boys. Thank you again OZZY and SHARON for brining LORDI to this years OZZFEST line up. This was a greta move for all real music lovers.
