What really sucks
What really sucks is I am getting old and have loved Ozzy forever and each time Ozzfest comes along I am either hit head on by careless driver (the first Ozzfest) before I could attend or in the Hospital from original injuries. Now this year I am unemployed as is most of the country and can't afford the travel or tickets even if they were $5.00 each.
Life sucks and then you die :(

Yea, it's one day, don't even know where the mulit-day idea came from. And yes, I live close to the Mid-West Bank Amp & admidt, it sucks. Have been to Alpine & agree it's better, but, it is what it is. Knowing Sharon, I'm sure it has something to do with the amount of, or their cut of, the money, lol. There are lots of inexpensive hotels blocks from the venue tho & it's not a 'seedy' area at all. Ton's of close, cheap places to eat also. Finally, agreed on the stupidity of booking the show on a weekday. Yet I just saw Mayhem Tour yesterday (Friday) which started at 2:00 PM. So, same thing, but at least many did not have to worry about the next day since Saturday. (Again, I assume this is a cost cutting issue.)

@happydamasaklown, there are 12 bands playing this year at ozzfest, so logically each band will play 1 full day, therefor you need to book a hotel for 12 days, unless ozzy decides to play for 2 days, then you will need a 13th day.

For all of those who are complaining about Ozzfest not being at Alpine Valley, shut the **** up. Ozzfest 2008 was only held on one day and that was in Texas. Remember Ozzfest isn't Ozzfest without the man, Ozzy! Also Ozzy is getting older, he's not able to do as much touring as he used to do. I would like to see Ozzfest come to Alpine Valley, but Tinley Park is still close enough for me. Bottom line is DEAL WITH IT! OR DON'T GO!

i've been to both alpine is better they serve beer all day and they let you tail gate. the crowd gets more into it the sound is better.

This venue ******* sucks and so does the line up...Motley are only good for about two songs before they get tired and start...Alpine Valley is infinitely better...why bother with a tour at all if its this ****ty...

11000 more seats
Move this date to ALPINE VALLEY ASAP. Anybody who would go to Chicago would go to ALPINE and more. Alpine is a specticle in itself and I can't believe Ozzfest dropped the ball on this. Alpine is a great money maker for any event. 11000 more tickets to be sold. 66000 more beers to be sold. 1/2 a million more dollars to be made easily.... duh!

Alpine is a better ampitheater for sound and I think it fits more people=more money. Also just moving uo a few miles puts you in Wisconsin which guarantees alot more beer sales=more money.
